Acrylic

Acrylic paint features a medium-heavy body and is fast-drying. When squeezed straight from the tube, our acrylic paints are thick in texture and opaque in appearance, delivering bold, strong colors that mix together seamlessly. Simply use water or a medium to achieve greater coverage and versatility. Oil: Artists like Van Gogh and Picasso used oil paints to create their masterpieces. Follow in their footsteps with our oil paint ranges. Rich pigmentation and longer drying times allow for all kinds of interesting techniques, such as mixing directly on canvas and creating 3D impasto work. Watercolour paint delivers delicate washes, free-flowing colors, and translucent tones. Our watercolor collections include palettes, half pans, and tubes from the Simply, Aquafine, and Artists’ ranges. Beginners through to professionals will love to paint and create with the vivid hues in our ranges. Gouache paint is similar to watercolor in application; however, the added chalk within the pigments makes it more opaque, faster-drying, and more reflective than traditional watercolor. Daler-Rowney gouaches are available across three different ranges: Simply, Aquafine, and Professional.

Ink

Art inks are incredibly versatile and can be used for writing, drawing, painting, and enhancing artworks with added detail, color, and final touches. The Daler-Rowney art ink collection includes acrylic inks, calligraphy inks, drawing ink, and even bleed-proof ink. Calligraphy Ink: Calligraphy ink supports and enhances the traditional art of calligraphy, but can also be used for illustration, mixed media, and detailing due to the strength, fluidity, and opacity of its formula. The Daler-Rowney calligraphy ink ranges are water-resistant or waterproof and pigment-based. Marker Paint markers combine the formulations of inks and paints with the continuous line movement and flow of a marker. Our pre-filled paint markers come with rich acrylic color and are ready to use. The refillable markers are empty with interchangeable nibs, allowing you to fill them with a color of your choice. Pastel: Daler-Rowney offers soft pastels, hard pastels, and oil pastels within our art pastels collection. All of our pastel sticks produce a velvety smooth mark and are creamy in consistency. Soft pastels blend easier than hard pastels; however, hard pastels create harder, bolder marks.

Medium

Make the most of your paints with mediums! A medium is an art supply added to paint that can be used to change the drying rate, thin it out for greater surface coverage, create interesting effects, alter its texture or consistency, and improve flow. Daler-Rowney offers mediums for acrylics, oils, watercolors, and printing. Our mediums are available in collections such as Aquafine, Simply, Georgian, FW, and System3.
