Tools

At The Army Painter, we create products that aid you in your hobby journey. Most miniature wargaming and roleplaying projects begin with assembling the miniatures. For this purpose, we have developed several different products: Firstly, you will need a Self-Healing Cutting Mat to work on, ensuring you don’t damage your tabletop when cutting and gluing. Next, most hobby kits require you to cut out parts from sprues with a Plastic Frame Cutter. You will probably want to glue these parts together with either Plastic Glue or Super Glue! Sometimes, you will want to remove mold lines from miniatures with either a Hobby Knife or a File. In case there are any unwanted gaps, these may be filled with Green Stuff, applied with a Sculpting Tool. At the same time, you may use the Hobby Drill to drill out gun barrels or to make room for Miniature & Model Magnets, allowing you to create interchangeable parts! Basing

Battlefields Basing: No miniature is truly complete without creating its base. For this purpose, we have created a wide range of basing materials to glue onto your bases, such as Snow, Rocks, and different colors of Grass. Simply apply Basing Glue to the base and sprinkle the basing material on top to create the setting you desire for your miniatures. Basing Tufts: Our Battlefield Tufts are a great way to quickly add color and theme to your bases. Simply pick a tuft of the appropriate size with your Tweezers, apply some Basing Glue to the bottom, and then stick it onto the base of your miniature. Tufts come in many different themes and colors, such as Deadland Tufts, Meadow Flowers, or Lowland Shrubs. Paint Brushes

At the heart of The Army Painter – as it says in the name – is the act of painting. For this, you require paint brushes, and we have them. Quickshade Dips & Washes

For anyone who quickly needs to make a tabletop-ready wargaming army of miniatures, The Army Painter Quickshade is the perfect product. It is one of the original products from The Army Painter, and its use follows this procedure: Spray, Paint, Dip, Done! The idea was to find a method that allowed for the fastest way to complete wargaming armies of any type. If you just paint miniatures with base colors, they tend to look flat and lifeless, but simply adding Quickshade after the base colors will create shading and depth in no time! Depending on the look you are going for, three 250-milliliter Quickshade variants are available for the insanely fast “dip” method: Assemble and spray prime your miniatures with a Colour Primer, then basecoat the other main colors. Next, stir (do not shake) the Quickshade and dip the miniature in it. Then, shake off the excess and allow it to dry for at least 24 hours. Apply a coat of Matt Varnish and base your miniature. Now you are ready to game! If you are looking for Quickshade but wish to apply the coat by brush to achieve the same shading effect, you can find 11 different Quickshade Tones in 18-milliliter dropper bottles from the Quickshade Washes range.
